On Sea Sunday, 12 July 2015, churches all over the world come together to remember the world’s 1.5 million seafarers and pray for them, their families and those who support them.
As well as raising money to help those who work at sea, the day is celebrated with services, parades and ship blessings.

Celebrate and thank our seafarers this Sunday. That’s the message from an international maritime charity.
The Mission to Seafarers mark Sea Sunday this year by highlighting their work with the frightened crew on the Hoegh Osaka, the car transporter stranded on its side in the Solent earlier this year.
The Mission cared for the crew in the days after the incident and made sure their families knew they were safe.
Church services will be held across the UK on Sunday to celebrate the people who work and live at sea.
